I went there a few years ago. The views are amazing but I wouldnt recommend it for people suffering from asthma as it is a long walk up to it. You can either walk or travel by donkey; I walked it. There isnt much space to walk as there are people coming down at the same time. There are women selling lace table cloths and other similar items. It's a long and winding walk up but you feel like you've really achieved something when you reach the top. Enjoy your visit :)

We visted Lindos Sept 06 and loved it! The Acropolis is worth a visit as it is the main visual focal point of the area. My husband and I took the donkey taki (5euro each) up and that was great fun! A lot easier than walking and the views are spectacular along the way. (The donkeys are rested in the shade with plenty of water after each trip so they are not overworked.) The Acropolis entrance cost 6euro each. Once inside you can spend as long as you like walking around, taking in the history and the breathtaking views across the bays and island. Health and safety has not got a hold here so hold onto your kids if you have them as there are no ropes or barriers. This means you can walk right to the edge which is amazing! If you are going to Rhodes and planning a trip to Lindos then the Acropolis is a must see! Afterwards you can gently walk back down the hill and stroll the quaint pedestrian stone streets of the town which are lovely! Enjoy!!

we went in august, loveley place, peaceful, tranquil and relaxing. the acropolis is magical and definately worth a visit. walk down to the little white washed village and there is a lovely little bakery. the steps are hard work, so make sure you take your time and stop and have a little drink of water. along the way there a greek ladies selling table cloths etc.. so it they can do the walk anyone can!! i dont agree with the poor donkey rides down, the poor things!! walk, its easier walking down than going up. my husband even had his hair cut in a little barbers we came across in the village. we stopped at a beach in lindos and it was heaven. i loved the place and would definately go back and stay in lindos next time.
